Thailand itinerary – January 8 – 24
Day one:
Arrive in Bangkok. Meet & greet at our traditional Thai hotel. Dinner at a roof top restaurant to talk about how much fun we’re going to have together.
Day two:
Meet us & Karen will take you through a morning stretch class to loosen you up after the dreaded long haul flight. Breakfast at the hotel. A short drive to a floating market. Meander back to Yaowarat Road for street food & a walk through the ancient streets of old town. You’ll receive a history lesson on the importance of street food in Bangkok with lots of interesting dishes to try. Don’t be scared! Tuk-tuk’s will take us back to our hotel for a dip in the pool to wash away the cities dust.
Day three:
Karen gets our blood pumping with a good morning stretch class & we’ll have breakfast in our hotel. We’re going to conquer the king of fruits today….Durian! It’s a crazy food day with a Thai cooking class that includes the chance to try…insects! Free time in the afternoon to get to know Bangkok & rest up for another adventure tomorrow.
Day four:
Karen gets our bodies limber with a stretch class & we’ll grab a quick bite before heading the the airport to jet off to Krabi. We’ll take a long boaat to Railay Beach, get our hotel rooms settled & then meet to walk the pathway around the little peninsula that will be our home for a couple of days. A special dinner tonight outdoors with hippy vibes!
Day five:
Karen’s stretch class will help us swim through the azure waters as we take a boat to the Phi Phi Islands to snorkel the crystal-clear waters! You can’t image how beautiful the beaches are on this island paradise!! Lunch is enjoyed sea-side & once we’re back in Railay you’ve got some free time to explore or chill…it’s your trip!
Day six:
Stretch & breakfast before heading off to meet our German friend who will outfit us with bicycles…& off we go on a leisurely ride through the rubber tree forests & pineapple groves! Thailand is stunning & you’re immerged right in the heart of it! Once back in Railay, the beach or hotel pool is looking pretty good!
Day seven:
Loosen up the stiff legs from our bike yesterday with a stretch class! Breakfast in our hotel before flying to Chiang Mai…famous for its beautiful ancient temples! Our hotel is just perfect…old world Thai charm with all the modern amenities + a pool to cool off in...January is HOT here! We’ll walk from our hotel to a cool market & sample Northern Thai Street food
Day eight:
Stretching with Karen every morning is getting to be a THANG! We’ll grab breakfast at the hotel & then head out to the Elephant Park where we can interact with the gentle beasts & learn about the part they play in Thai culture. An afternoon cooking class where we’ll learn how to make Northern Thai delicacies & then sit down to eat the beautiful & delicious cuisine! We’ll be stuffed, so the walk home will feel good! It’s super safe in Chiang Mai, so don’t worry about walking around at night!
Day nine:
This morning Karen gives you a quick stretch to get the circulation going, Breakfast at the hotel & then we’re off to jump on a bamboo raft & float down the Ping River, stopping for lunch at one of the river side restaurants. A think a pretty cocktail would taste good! When we embark the raft ride, I hope you feel like shopping because we’ll hit the markets today! I hope you’ve got room in your suitcase for all the souvenirs! Street food is our dinner tonight! Have you ever had fresh Mango with spicey salt?
Day 10:
Stretch & breakfast! We’re hitting the insane road to Pai today! The road that boasts 762 hairpin corners!! Don’t worry…we stop halfway for a stretch & a pee! Once we settle into our cool hotel, we’ll walk around & get a feel for this funky little town. A street market tonight is fun to way to end the day & we’ll grab a super healthy dinner…wait until you see what it is!!
Day 11:
Stretch & breakfast at our hotel & then we’ll hop in an open-air red truck for a tour to some of the neat places this area has to offer…coffee with a view & an absolutely breathtaking sunset will end our day.
Day 12:
Stretch/breakfast & it’s back to Chiang Mai. We’ve got a special place for you to stay this time & while Laurie grabs supplies you can lounge around the pool. We’re cooking dinner together tonight! All our favorite foods we’ve eaten come together tonight as Laurie pulls out all the stops with a cooking class that knows no bounds!
Day 13:
Stretch in the pool this morning with Karen, while Laurie puts together a delicious breakfast! If there is anything you want to get in Chiang Mai, today is your chance to get it! You’ve got a free day & with the confidence you’ve now got, you will bravely wander around Chiang Mai at your leisure….or, maybe it’s a nap by the pool! It’s your day!!
Day 14:
Let’s go home on a high-note with a full day of luxury pampering at the best spa in Chiang Mai! What a way to say good-bye to Thailand! You’re going to be rubber when you leave, but spruce up for dinner….it’s Laurie’s treat at the best authentic Thai restaurant in tow!
Day 15:
Stretch & breakfast & then we’re flying back to Bangkok. Thanks for tripping with us!
